Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of HOApro.us and its document generation services. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service.
HOApro.us is designed to help HOA board members, property managers, and homeowners draft standard administrative documents more efficiently. Our platform must not be used in ways that harm individuals, undermine governance processes, or violate applicable law.
Prohibited Uses
The following uses of HOApro.us are expressly prohibited:
Mass Automated Document Generation
You may not use scripting, bots, automated tools, or any mechanism to bulk-generate documents at a scale exceeding normal individual administrative use. This includes using our API endpoints (if available) to generate documents programmatically without explicit written authorization from HOApro.us.
Harassment of Homeowners or Tenants
You may not use document templates to threaten, intimidate, harass, or bully homeowners, tenants, or any individual. This includes generating excessive or repetitive violation notices for pretextual reasons, using documents as instruments of retaliation, or generating documents designed to coerce individuals rather than to achieve legitimate HOA governance purposes.
Misrepresentation as Attorney-Reviewed
You may not represent to any person that documents generated by HOApro.us have been reviewed, approved, or endorsed by a licensed attorney, unless you have separately and independently obtained such a review. HOApro.us documents are templates for informational use and do not constitute legal advice.
Circumventing Proper HOA Governance
You may not use the Service to generate documents that circumvent, bypass, or undermine the lawful governance procedures required by your HOA’s governing documents or applicable state statutes. This includes generating notices for actions not properly authorized by your board, using templates to impose rules or fines not adopted through proper rulemaking procedures, or creating documents that falsely represent board actions.
Submitting False Information
You may not submit false, fraudulent, or deliberately misleading information in any document form. All information submitted to generate documents must accurately represent the facts of your community and the proposed action.
Template Redistribution
You may not copy, export, redistribute, resell, or sublicense the underlying template structures or template text of HOApro.us for commercial purposes or as part of a competing service. Each account’s license covers internal HOA administrative use only.
Platform Abuse
You may not attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with HOApro.us infrastructure, including denial-of-service attacks, credential stuffing, unauthorized access attempts, SQL injection, or any other form of platform abuse.
Enforcement
HOApro.us takes violations of this AUP seriously. Upon discovering or receiving a credible report of a violation, we may take the following actions at our sole discretion:
- Warning: Issue a warning to the account holder explaining the violation.
- Account suspension: Temporarily suspend access to the Service pending investigation.
- Account termination: Permanently terminate the account and delete associated data.
- Data deletion: Delete documents, form data, or other content associated with the violation.
- No refund: Subscriptions terminated for AUP violations are not eligible for refunds.
- Legal action: Report activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities or take civil legal action where warranted.
We will use reasonable judgment in evaluating alleged violations and will consider the context and severity of the conduct. We are not obligated to provide advance notice before taking action when the violation is severe or ongoing.
