Cookie Policy

Our Cookie Philosophy
HOApro.us takes a minimal approach to cookies. We believe in setting only the cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the service. We do not track you across other websites, serve advertising, or share cookie data with marketing platforms.
This policy explains exactly what cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.
The One Cookie We Set
HOApro.us sets exactly one cookie on your device when you log in:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| hoapro_session | Maintains your authenticated session after login. Without this cookie, you would need to log in on every page. | 7 days | HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict |
HttpOnly — protected from JavaScript
The hoapro_session cookie is marked HttpOnly, which means it cannot be read or modified by JavaScript running on the page. This protects your session from cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. It is also marked Secure (only sent over HTTPS) and SameSite=Strict (not sent with cross-site requests), providing protection against cross-site request forgery (CSRF).
No Tracking or Advertising Cookies
By default, HOApro.us does not set any of the following:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, etc.)
- Cross-site tracking cookies
- Third-party analytics cookies loaded by default
- Social media cookies (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Any cookie that identifies or tracks you across other websites
Analytics — Opt-In Only
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for aggregate usage analytics. However, GA4 is not loaded by default. It is only activated if you explicitly consent via our cookie consent banner.
Our cookie consent banner is displayed to all new visitors. You may:
- Accept analytics: GA4 will be loaded and aggregate usage data (pages viewed, session duration) will be collected.
- Decline analytics: No GA4 script is loaded. Only the session cookie is used.
You may change your consent preference at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer. This is in accordance with our obligations under the CCPA and applicable state privacy laws.
Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that deleting or disabling the hoapro_session cookie will log you out and require you to sign in again on your next visit.
